Fioni - Chantara Warefall 7.5KM Circular

I initially completed this hike as a 10+KM circular but after walking it, I decided to reduce it to make it easier. (Parking is at the side of the Road)
I started the walk at 8am on a Sunday morning and was surprised to see the local coffee shop open. I resisted the temptation of coffee in favour of heading through the village and hiking up the wide mountain trail, while it was relatively still cool.
There were panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and views of the village I left behind. The climb was around 3KM with a few short sections of relief from the elevation. Eventually though the trail levelled off and I traversed the hillside until I arrivEDat the Chantara Waterfalls.
It was well worth the trip the main falls were impressive and after climbing the stone steps to the right I arrived at a smaller waterfall which was equally impressive but for its surrounds and beauty.
After soaking up the atmosphere and taking a multitude of photographs I headed down to the village again via a concrete road. The journey to the village was quite direct and seemed to take no time at all. All in all it was a very enjoyable adventure!
